Wildscreen Partners with Into Film to Launch Every Child a Filmmaker Project

New programme announced designed to support young creatives in Bristol

Wildscreen, have announced its participation in Every Child a Filmmaker, an inclusive UK-wide initiative led by Into Film that supports young people to share their voices through film while developing hands-on filmmaking skills alongside industry professionals. 

As part of the programme, Wildscreen is working with young people from Bristol Youth Zone to create a nature-focused short film, guiding participants through every stage of the filmmaking process. From idea generation, storyboarding and scriptwriting to hands on kit training, sound recording and editing, the project offers a comprehensive introduction to creative storytelling and technical film production. 

The project is supported by wildlife filmmaker Will Clothier, who brings his expertise in natural history filmmaking to mentor the group, and Emmy Award-winning composer Brolly Brollyman, who is composing an original score for the film. Post-production support is being generously provided by boutique picture finishing company Gravy, in partnership with Gorilla Post Production. 

Into Film’s Every Child a Filmmaker initiative aims to remove barriers to creative expression, empowering young people from across the UK to tell stories that matter to them while gaining valuable skills and confidence. 

Wildscreen will be sharing updates on the young filmmakers’ progress over the coming months over on NatureStory, the dedicated platform for natural world storytellers, offering audiences an insight into the creative journey behind the film and the development of the participants’ skills.
