Lucy Jane Mukerjee is a queer British-Indian programming disruptor and social impact film curator. Her area of expertise is at the intersection of activism and the arts, specifically where programming and inclusion meet. Over her 20 year career, Lucy has produced and programmed films all over the world. Since 2018, she has been a Senior Programmer at the Tribeca Festival, where she is responsible for selecting the festival’s narrative and documentary feature films, and strategizing the organization’s LGBTQIA outreach.

Lucy is a sought-after Industry Consultant who is hired for her insights & solutions on the ethics of programming. She regularly serves as an Advisor on selection committees for the preeminent media arts funding bodies and she has a robust network of contacts across the film industry and arts organizations, with a specific focus on relationships with female, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA leaders in the field. Along with Themba Bhebhe, Paul Struthers and Hussain Currimbhoy, Lucy is the Co-Founder of the Programmers Of Colour Collective, a professional development group of BIPOC film curators that aims to be a catalyst of transformative change for a more inclusive workforce of programmers at festivals around the globe.
