For more than 25 years Gernot Lercher as travelled the World as a director and author of documentary films dealing with various topics, widely spread from nature&wildlife to human rights issues, contemporary history and much more. In Spring 2020 this adventurous road finally result in a new formidable challenge: He took over the management of the Natural History Department at ORF, which means he is now heading "Universum", the internationally renowned nature and wildlife program of Austrian Television.
