Travel & Logistics
If you’re attending in person, we strongly encourage you to travel in a green and sustainable way to the event.
Whether you walk, cycle, use public transport, electric vehicles or car share, there are lots of options available. Bristol is well connected by a regular bus and train service, and Bristol Temple Meads station is less than a 15 minute walk away from the main festival venues, in the heart of the city centre.
Electric scooters and bike hire is also widely available in Bristol.
The main venues for Wildscreen Festival 2022 are Bristol Harbour Hotel the Bristol Mercure Grand Hotel, and BBC Bridgewater House.
Our film screenings will take place at a range of venues across the city: Showcase Cine de Lux, Cube Microplex, the Big Cinema at the Millenium Square and the Big Cinema, Bristol Aquarium.
Although we strive to make Wildscreen Festival 2022 as accessible as possible, unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the Cube Microplex, this can be difficult for wheelchair users and those with severe mobility issues due to steps required to access the venue, and between the various different levels inside. All of our other venues for Wildscreen Festival 2022 will have ramp access and be fully accessible to those with mobility issues.
If you have any concerns about access to any of the venues, please do get in touch by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
All of our tickets have a small fee incorporated into the ticket price to offset the carbon impact of all delegates’ travel. After the Festival, we will calculate and publish a transparent report detailing our event footprint and the steps taken to mitigate our impact.
We know that it is vital that we work to reduce our impact on the planet across all that we do.
Wildscreen adheres to a bespoke environmental policy for each of our events, which you can read more about below:
With over 2,000 expected live and online delegates from over 40 countries, Wildscreen Festival is an unparalleled chance to meet, network and connect with like minded individuals and organisations in and around the industry.
By voicing stories, encouraging dialogue and sparking conversations we will stimulate productive and positive environmental change while celebrating and diversifying the wildlife filmmaking industry.
As the world’s biggest gathering of natural world storytellers, there will be emerging and established filmmakers, wildlife photographers, commissioners, production companies, conservationists, scientists and more.
‘What a marvellous event! … the fact that people can participate easily from all over the world adds a new dimension to the physical events and reinforces the strength of a global community engaged in the noble endeavour of saving the planet and saving humanity from its worst excesses.’
‘From my perspective it’s been fantastic – so great to be able to see what others are doing in the industry within slightly different genres and perspectives.’
‘The keynote and sessions were really excellent as an online offer… I have a lot to catch up on, but I have really enjoyed the ones I’ve watched.’
Supporting our mission to build a more inclusive international wildlife film and TV industry, we will soon be announcing a range of bursaries to support attendance of the Festival in 2022. To be the first to hear about these opportunities, sign up to our enews.
