Wildscreen Announces Next Charity Chair

We’re delighted to share some important news from across the Wildscreen community.

At a pivotal moment for natural world storytelling, we’ve welcomed Stephen Pomeroy as Chair of our Board of Trustees, alongside Poppy Mason-Watts who joins us as a new Trustee. As our community continues to grow and evolve, these appointments mark an exciting step forward for Wildscreen and the work we do together.

Storytelling has always been at the heart of how we connect people with the natural world. But as biodiversity loss accelerates and more of our relationship with nature is experienced through screens, that role feels more urgent – and more powerful – than ever.

Stephen brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and business leadership, alongside a genuine passion for storytelling. As founder of Cavendish Consulting, he has guided organisations through periods of growth and transformation, and his work in film as an Executive Producer at Floodlight reflects a deep connection to the craft and impact of storytelling.

His commitment to conservation and animal welfare is equally longstanding, with involvement in initiatives such as the Global White Lion Protection Trust and broader work across the charitable sector. It’s a perspective grounded in both purpose and action – something that strongly aligns with Wildscreen’s mission.

Reflecting on his appointment, Stephen shared:

The question is whether organisations like Wildscreen can scale their impact fast enough, and build the kind of inclusive, globally connected community the next generation of storytellers actually needs. That is the work.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Poppy Mason-Watts to the Board. Poppy is currently Global Director of Impact and Partnerships at Project Dandelion and works closely with founders through her consultancy, helping purpose-driven organisations grow and embed meaningful impact at their core.

Together with our existing Trustees, Stephen and Poppy will help guide Wildscreen through the next phase of our journey – from the continued evolution of our global community to the return of Wildscreen Festival in 2026, and the growth of NatureStory, our digital platform for storytelling that launched last year.
