Wildscreen Festival Kenya

Wildscreen Festival Kenya will be held over 2 days, from 11 – 12 June 2026.

The Festival is being held at Hotel Emara Ole-Sereni, 18187, Nairobi, Kenya.

Requests to transfer your ticket to an alternative person must be made in writing to [email protected] by 30 May 2026. Such requests shall be approved or denied by Wildscreen in its sole discretion and a fee may be charged. 

Yes, applications for bursary places, which are available to African storytellers born and living in Africa, are currently open. Applications are now closed.

No, tickets must be purchased in advance due to health and safety and materials provisions.

Tickets can be refunded or returned up to 30 days before the event. After this refunds/returns will not be given unless the event / screening is cancelled, moved to another date.

During the standard ticket pricing period, a special concession rate will be available at a massive 50% discount from the full pass price, to welcome an even wider audience to our Festival.

You are eligible for the concessionary rate if you fall under one of these categories: 

• Students in full-time education 

• Those aged 25 and under 

• Unemployed (for UK delegates, this is available only to those in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance and Employment Support Allowance) 

• People who identify as disabled 

• Residents of LDC countries*.

Everyone is welcome at Wildscreen Festival Kenya. Our team is striving to make sure our event is as accessible and inclusive as possible.  

Emara Ole-Sereni offers dedicated mobility-friendly rooms designed for accessibility, featuring wider doorways, roll-in showers, and lower-placed support bars for comfort. Yes, we love welcoming volunteers and believe it is a great experience for all involved. Applications for WSFK26 are now closed.   

The delegate list will be released in early June 2026. This will only be accessible to registered pass holders. 

The Wildscreen team works hard alongside our partners, sponsors and community to create events that are impactful, accessible and safe for all our delegates. 

Unauthorised entry our events is not only unfair on delegates who have purchased passes it also compromises the health and safety of the event. Unauthorised access will also negatively impact future ticket costs and our ability to keep our events as accessible as possible. 

Any person seeking to gain or provide entry to a Wildscreen event without a valid ticket will be considered to be a trespasser and will be denied entry to or ejected from the venue and liable to legal action. 

Tickets cannot be resold or used by any other person. If we have reason to believe that tickets have been re-sold, or shared they will be invalidated, and the holder will be refused admission. 

Wildscreen reserves the right to revoke passes due to any unauthorised use or breach of our Event Code of Conduct. 

We actively welcome session and speaker suggestions. The deadline to submit ideas was 11 April 2026.

You should be aware that you may be photographed or filmed at times throughout the event and the recordings may be distributed. 

Visitors must be aged 18 or over to attend Wildscreen Events. We reserve the right to seek confirmation of age if we consider it necessary and you agree to provide such proof of identity and age as we consider reasonably necessary from time to time. 

Registration includes important Delegate Updates which we will send you via email as well as subscription to our year-round e-news. Delegate updates contain vital information about accessing the Festival in Kenya. Should you not wish to receive this information, or our year-round e-news, please click on unsubscribe at the bottom of the last email received. We will never share your email or personal details with anyone else without your consent. 

We will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between you and ourselves.

We are closely monitoring the situation and following guidance from the Kenyan Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO), and other relevant public health authorities. Based on current guidance, Wildscreen Festival Kenya will proceed as planned.

The safety and wellbeing of all delegates, speakers, partners and staff remains our priority. We encourage attendees to follow official travel and health advice, practise good hand hygiene, and avoid attending event activities if they feel unwell. If you feel unwell and choose not to come, we are unable to refund your ticket.

Should official guidance change in a way that affects the event or attendee travel, we will communicate updates as soon as possible.
