1. Tell us a bit about your role!
I am the Awards and Events Coordinator, meaning I help organise the wide range of amazing events we have popping up throughout the year like screenings, talks and awards.
Wildscreen announces coveted industry awards will now take place annually.
In February and March, 2025, Wildscreen is taking some of their greatest hits of Wildscreen Festival on the road to share with new communities across the South West and beyond.
The Best of Wildscreen Tour is being delivered with support from the BFI Fan Exhibition Fund, awarding funds from the National Lottery in order to bring this project to more audiences across the UK.
Three specially curated film packages will be delivered to several cinemas and film festivals including Exeter Phoenix, Festival of Tomorrow, Swindon and Totnes Cinema, with themes including rivers, oceans and a special young programmers package chosen by a panel of young programmers in the South West.
Young Programmers
The young programmers package includes seven creative and bold stories that spark positive and restorative action for our natural world. This collection of short environmental films programmed by our young programming team, centre around the theme of Hope. Films include:

Young Programmers screenings take place on 12 February 2025 at the Festival of Tomorrow, Swindon and 17 February 2025 at Totnes Cinema, Totnes.
Rivers
The Rivers package celebrates the lifeblood of our landscapes with a special night of film screenings that delve into the beauty, mystery, and challenges facing our rivers. Films include:

The Best of Wildscreen’s Rivers screening takes place on 18 February 2025 at Exeter Phoenix, Exeter.
Oceans
The oceans package celebrates the wonders and mysteries of the ocean. Two remarkable stories will take the audience on an unforgettable journey from the Philippines to the icy waters of Norway. Films include:
